Wow, thats like a triple fail! Nice work!

  2. Kelsey on May 2nd, 2008 at 4:58 pm

What is it even supposed to say??

  3. Anonymous on May 2nd, 2008 at 7:10 pm

hogawd. I assume that on the intruction sheet for making the cake at the bakery the person wrote:

“Best wishes Suzanne underneath that we will miss you.”

S/he was leaving instructions to write the “we will miss you” under the “Best wishes Suzanne.”

    can’t people read instructions??
    very funny.

I would assume that it was a spoken instruction by someone that speaks in Ebonics because of the spelling of “Under Neat that”

  7. Anonymous on May 6th, 2008 at 7:55 pm

Ebonics are hilarious. Case in point: this cake.

i think ebonics is singular (like phonics). can someone verify?

i’m not sure if i would be pissed that someone did this to my cake (as the orderer or suzanne), or be happy they gave me a laugh.

the orderer may just have been misunderstood (and not speaking ebonics). or this was a typo. or the person making the cake was just dumb (which, obviously, they were). or all of the above.

…following directions to the letter so to speak.

I’d find this funnier if it wasn’t already done in the most popular fail on this site.

    i would still eat it!

I’d be so pissed, after blowing $20-$30 on a cake, to find that they let a monkey decorate it.

  13. David on May 24th, 2008 at 8:48 am

Well, at least you get to eat the fail. Edible fails are the best kind!

nederninja you are indeed correct, ebonics is singular with no plural like phonics, being a blend of “ebony” and “phonics”. Source: OED 2002 edition.

Maybe her name is Suzanne Under. And everyone thinks it is neat that they will miss her.

^ ROFL Suzanne Under… Still missing punctuation, though.

Ok, I love this. I get it in email forwards twice a year from my grandfather, and it’s still funny. This is the text that accompanies the photo in the email:

Okay so this is how I imagine this conversation went:
Walmart Employee: “Hello ‘dis Walmarts, how can I help you?”
Customer: “Yes, I would like to order a cake for a going away party this week.”
Walmart Employee: “Whatchu want on the cake?”
Customer: “Best Wishes Suzanne.” And underneath that “We will miss you”.

Sad but true. This actually happened.
