Um, “Mead” is indeed capitalised, and there would be no comma after “thanks” because the sentence continues. It would be incorrect to put “thanks, a lot and…”
I blame my knowledge of that on my English teacher for beating comma rules into my head my Freshman to Senior years of high school.
I agree with Burrill and Hilary (one of the few times I’ve agreed with a woman named Hillary) that these are the two primary fails. Another fail would be writing the comma after “Mr. Mead” in a different color than the rest of the note. And check out my CARTOONS by clicking on my name link.
The comma is in the same color, it’s just that it was done with a sharper edge of the crayon’s tip and therefore made it darker.

Thank you Alaric. Jim, wth are you talking about??? Sarcasm I hope?
Ooh! I found another one! There should be a period after ‘Mr’ to signify that it’s an abbreviation for ‘mister’ and not the word mr, considering mr isn’t a word!
Also, it looks like this was written on a yellow wall with green crayon. The fact that it’s a yellow wall, the fact that there’s writing on the wall, the fact that the writing is in crayon and the fact that the colour crayon doesn’t match the wall color and Mr./mr are all added, that comes up to… 6 Fails? Is this a hexafail?
I believe the comma after Mr. Head is fine and grammatically correct Madrugada Jones. Also how exactly does writing in a different color equal a fail? Plus the fact that it isn’t written in a different color and is simply more pressure put on the crayon resulting in a darker appearance anyway, like Alaric said. As for Scium. It looks to be written on construction paper and not a wall. Why would you want the color to match the background because you then would not be able to see it, correct? While writing on construction paper in crayon may be childish it does not really equal an english fail.
I wonder if Alots is the Mr. Mead’s first name?
Then the fail must be in not capitalizing Mr. Mead’s name, and not putting a comma after “thanks”!

The fail is in “congradulations.” Unfortunately, it’s hard to read.
I think the fail is writing a “congrats” letter in crayon on construction paper. =P
Uh, David, it says “a lot &” not “alots”
METAFAIL
