Hey! -this blockbuster is on Harvard Ave in Allston, mass. I feel like I would have seen this walking home every night if it was legit. But man, i hope I just missed it!
Having carefully examined the original, I must say it was not shopped. That’s not saying the sign wasn’t tampered with. There used to be a restaurant in my town called the Stuft Shirt, and my high school associates altered it to read ” tuf Shi t”
STOP CALLING EVERYTHING EPIC FAIL. goddammit. the only way that is an “epic fail” is if the lights were specifically designed not to go out in ways that would make suggestive phrases. it’s just a funny coincidence.
irony police are annoying and tiresome, but this meme is being run into the ground, and the word “epic”, by its very definition, should apply to extremes; i.e., something you don’t see every day, ten times a day.
Blockbuster Video - WOW - What A Difference! (a few blown lights make…)

I went to this blockbuster a half dozen times when the lights were out, each time regretting I didn’t have a camera with me.
They fixed the sign and changed it to just “Blockbuster”.
Someone (or fate?) has already claimed the K, 1 out of 6 letters down to just “Blo___us___”
Btw, here is the original upload, from flickr (before being water-ed down and passed through 4 or 5 link-sites).
