TCBY – “The Country’s Best Yogurt” Fail

July 23rd, 2008

Thanks to Ryane who says, “Hello! I’m a longtime reader of your blog, but I’ve never had anything to send in - until I found this rather disappointing to/too mix-up prominently displayed at a local ice cream [yogurt] shop (TCBY, in fact – you’d think someone would have caught this before it got printed and put up in shops across the nation).”

    Have your cheesecake and eat it to… be happy? Get fat? Oh, I know. Have your cheesecake and eat it to spot the spelling mistake. It’s magic yogurt. It must be…

    LOL @ Hiro

    This is very sad.

    The other problem is that the phrase is backward anyway. Having caked and eating it isn’t a problem; it’s eating your cake and having it, too, that’s the real trick.

    They mean you don’t have to purge cause its fat free. So you can eat it, and keep it too.

    @ Warren

    Awesome catch. I hadn’t considered that aspect.

    That last one was me, (Hiro). For some reason the blog is automatically filling in other users’ names when I load the page. That time, I got “Scooby Don’t”. Is anyone else having this problem?

  8. Amanda on July 23rd, 2008 at 3:35 pm

    I’m having that problem, too, Hiro. When I looked the section for my name had yours listed.

    @Hiro & Amanda,

    I think the problem is fixed. (A piece of code in the main template css was deleted which caused the problem, it should be fixed now). Just for future reference, if someone else’s name ever appears in the “Name” box when you’re writing a new comment, just delete it and write in your own name. That should also solve it. Thanks.
