How the hell do they rate to get an extra hour in the day?PFFF.

  2. PollyAnna on August 11th, 2008 at 12:23 pm

Maybe they’re open 25 hours a week? Month? Year?

  3. Judas Iscariot on August 11th, 2008 at 12:29 pm

I’m with PollyAnna, they are probably open 25 hours per week.

Just a hunch, but I’m guessing this sign is hanging in the window of the local DMV.

    “Yah, we’re open 25 hours…not all in a row!!!”

Maybe they only turn on the sign when we switch from DST to Regular Time in the fall…

I bet their amps go to 11 too. Nothing wrong with that!

  9. Jesse on August 11th, 2008 at 2:11 pm

This bar I know is open 8 days a week ;)

  10. jen on August 11th, 2008 at 3:07 pm

Well, they got your attention, didn’t they. I’m sure that was the whole point…like the speed limit signs in the loop around the mall that are 17 mph. You just stare because it’s weird, though it is actually possible to drive 17mph as opposed to this.

On a related topic, it irks me when I see or hear “24/7/365″. It should be “24/7/52″ or “24/365″.

Hours-Days-Days is inconsistent, but Hours(a day)-Days(a week)-Weeks(a year) makes sense, as does Hours(a day)-Days(a year), even if the latter is a little awkward. I am preemptively nixing any leap year comments.

    • DiscoPanda on August 12th, 2008 at 5:09 am

Plus, what about leap years? If they’re open 24/7/365, does that mean they take a day off every leap year? And if so, would that be leap day, the 366th day (DEC.31), or just some other random day?

      • pannonica on August 12th, 2008 at 8:12 am

Nix Button fail. Guess I have to take it into the shop.

  12. Leptor on August 11th, 2008 at 7:29 pm

This is not a fail by any account. Must be slow on the submissions…

    • anonymooseamber on August 11th, 2008 at 10:29 pm

      Nope,it’s not really a fail.However,it’s funny!So,if you don’t already know, my comment was sarcastic……lol:)

Maybe the store just opened yesterday and this is their 25th hour of business.

    • Fi. on August 12th, 2008 at 5:25 am

Yes, because they’d buy a neon light for every hour. Coming soon: OPEN 35698 HOURS

  15. Fi. on August 12th, 2008 at 12:50 am

They’ll do anything to beat their competitors, even if what they promise is not actually possible.

    • anonymooseamber on August 12th, 2008 at 12:51 am

      WORD!

  17. lj on August 13th, 2008 at 12:04 am

i’ve seen this sign before. the slogan is “giving you extra time…”

  18. RoLap on August 29th, 2008 at 3:53 pm

That’s the idea. It emphasizes the fact that the store is open 24/7. The failure is that you are not getting it.

  19. Jelly on November 14th, 2009 at 2:46 pm

Mystery solved! This isn’t on Earth! It’s on Mars!!!! They rounded the minutes up an hour. *rolls eyes* pffft earthlings…

  20. Clare on November 16th, 2009 at 3:40 pm

Yes, there is certainly 25 hours in a day. :) WTF?

  21. Bj on November 16th, 2009 at 10:48 pm

    Maybe leap year?

  22. Benjamin on November 29th, 2009 at 7:49 pm

It could be a sign they put up only on “Fall Back” day where there is 25 hours. They also put up a sign that says “Open 23 Hours” on “Spring Forward” day.
