The people who spelled it are probably the same ones who are trying to put it into practice. Maybe “democrcy” is what happens when your country gets invaded by the world’s only superpower.
That’s clearly “photoshopped” and it’s not an English fail, it’s just a spelling mistake, why do people keep posting these in this blog, it’s not about spelling mistakes.
I think spelling mistakes *usually* qualify as English fails. Misspelling is a misuse of the English language. Now, I think things that are clearly intentional misspells don’t qualify as English fails. But those misspells where people just clearly don’t *know* how to spell? Those are definitely English fails.
Also, I don’t think it’s “clearly” Photoshopped. Whether it is or not, it’s still funny – and that’s the point of the blog.
This was not photoshopped. A classmate of mine actually received these books from the bookstore at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She posted the photo on Facebook and I asked her if I could send it in to this blog.
Apparently the New American Democracy doesn’t know how to spell.
Democracy Fail.
When did we change our government system? Ohh well, I guess democracy doesn’t work as good as democrcy.
When I first looked at it, it looked like it said ‘Demo-cry’. How apropos would that have been?

Positively spine-tinkling.
That would be a great circus trick.Spine-tinkling that is:)
I wonder if the rest of the book randomly leaves out letters. Makes it harder to read. I assume this was on the discount rack.

So was it a spelling mistake or the product of a graphic editing program? Commentfail.
