Nope. It’s a film made of JB weld and paper mache. And a little Leo Dicaprio&Kate Winslet for good measure.

If it happened before you were born, it probably didn’t happen. Right?

  4. Canaduck on December 6th, 2008 at 12:26 am

    Oh. That is so sad.

    No !
They used a real ship in the film. It was the only way they could bump off the extra’s without paying

Geez, everybody knows steel is harder than ice. Of course it didn’t happen. Don’t believe the thousands of google search results claiming otherwise. They’re all part of the global Titanic conspiracy.

    I’m a twat

    Hollywood does it again!

Faking historical events based on nothing of the sort in reality.

    Pearl Harbor? BAH! Humbug!

sometimes i feel like the people writing these questions are just messing with us

    • Mere on December 6th, 2008 at 8:52 pm

      We call those “trolls.”

In addition, trolls of the kind I’ve encountered are notorious for purposely spelling things incorrectly/using poor grammar.

Not sure if the person who posted the question was a troll or just extremely stupid, however…

i see nothing funny about this, this is just a question phrased ridiculously. He s trying to ask if the movie titanic was based on a true story or not. wtf is wrong with you people?

    • Chancre on December 7th, 2008 at 11:30 am

“wtf is wrong with you people?”

Let us rephrase your point as ‘is you people made of wtf?’. Hopefully now you can being to understand why this is an English fail as well as being a ridiculously phrased question.

If you can still see nothing funny about it, then I suggest that you don’t go to websites where people laugh at those who use English online incorrectly, as it seems to be striking quite close to home.

To put this point in your own terms: “he s trying to say im not good at tpying???? wtf???”

    • Canaduck on December 12th, 2008 at 3:35 pm

You seriously think it’s acceptable to not know whether Titanic is based on a true story? Go back to 5th grade. You’ll be hearing about this really big thing called World War II soon.
