I hate it when than won’t tell you things.

    • Kris on March 13th, 2009 at 2:32 pm

      Damn you, Than!

      • Yeah on March 14th, 2009 at 8:09 am

        Vietnamese name, maybe?

  2. Than on March 13th, 2009 at 1:01 pm

I’ll tell you anything you want to know.

  3. Huh on March 13th, 2009 at 1:48 pm

I fail to see the fail

  4. Scooby Don't on March 13th, 2009 at 2:12 pm

    The Armando Montelongo ad…?

  5. My Hovercraft is full of eels on March 13th, 2009 at 2:22 pm

    Eru!?

  6. pannonica on March 13th, 2009 at 4:17 pm

Fail for not ignoring the ads.

  7. theleetking on March 13th, 2009 at 6:43 pm

    What’s the fail?

  8. You don't know me... on March 13th, 2009 at 7:44 pm

    *sigh*

    “What THAN don’t tell you”

    • I watch it on March 15th, 2009 at 7:11 am

      Wrong.

  9. Megan on March 13th, 2009 at 11:03 pm

The fail is in the definition of the word.

    • pannonica on March 14th, 2009 at 7:18 am

That’s exactly what a cullis is, architecturally.

  10. me on March 14th, 2009 at 6:00 pm

should be “gutter, as ON the eaves of a roof” (?)
    right?

    • pannonica on March 14th, 2009 at 8:31 pm

No, technically the eave is the edge, the border of the roof. The gutter or cullis extends from the eave. If it were on it actually be atop the surface.

I hate to admit defeat, but this FAIL is going completely over my head…

  12. K8Lin on March 14th, 2009 at 8:55 pm

The fail is in the ads. The last link at the bottom says, “What Than Won’t Tell You”. It should be “What THEY Won’t Tell You”.

    • Scooby Don't on March 14th, 2009 at 9:08 pm

Thank you! My eyes totally glazed over that one! Your eyes and brain play strange tricks sometimes…

      ;)

    • I watch it on March 15th, 2009 at 7:11 am

Than Merrill is a house flipper, just like Armando Montelongo.

Based on the context, my assumption is that the ad is correct in stating that Than won’t tell you some secrets, whereas this other person will.

    • My Hovercraft is full of eels on March 16th, 2009 at 7:30 am

      LAME

My eyes are automatically trained to ignore ads.

  13. GAR on March 15th, 2009 at 10:14 am

I would also say that the “hear” button should say “listen.”

    • pannonica on March 15th, 2009 at 6:49 pm

Beg to differ. Hearing is passive, listening is active. Just because one (actively) clicks the button doesn’t mean one will listen: the button can’t guarantee that one will listen. It’s click-the-button-to-hear, not click-the-button-to-listen because the button doesn’t compel one to listen.

I reiterate that the first and biggest fail is failing to ignore the useless ads.

And if you say otherwise, my response is “Nah-nah-nah I can’t hear listen to you!”

Should it be “as *at* the eave of a roof” – singular. Since the definition begins “a gutter” – singular.

    • Yue on March 27th, 2009 at 2:38 pm

It would seem to be so, but that I would never use “eave”. In fact, I have never heard anyone use the singular form.
