Would American streets look smarter without all that uncontrolled clutter of private advertising signboards?
Is it safe to distract drivers with random information, not relevant to the primary task of navigating the car around the town?
In England these signs would be controlled by a planning approval committee of town councillors.
On main highways no advertising is permitted. The national Highway Agency permits only traffic direction signs and place-names to be displayed in the drivers’ view-line.
ROFL

Isn’t that against the law?

That is a street in Canada, but – hey -same thing, right?
Maybe it means they sell those things to boys and girls.
Still, how do you sell a baptism or First Communion?
No matter how you look at it, it’s still a fail.
@Canuck
